Silver Hand Washing Set

A marvelous silver  parcel gilt hand washing set of a cup and a round based bowl.
The rim of the bowl is beautifully chased and embossed with leaves on a delicately hammered background.
Although this hand washing set can be used for other purposes and religions it was originally designed for the Jewish ritual of Maim Acharonim - the washing of the hands before and  after the meal.
It will adorn any table or display cabinet and would be a great addition to any Judaica or silver collection and a wonderful gift to you Jewish friends.
